Miami Shores Village · a canopy-minded community

The village
under the trees.

Miami Shores has a distinctly local service network: Village Public Works looks after streets, trees, drainage, parks and household sanitation. Water and sewer questions go to Miami-Dade County, and many homes still use septic systems.

Know the handoff

The Village is not the water utility. For water and wastewater, Miami-Dade County or North Miami is the service provider depending on location and connection. Some homes rely on septic systems.

Septic-to-sewer is a live infrastructure topic.

Miami Shores does not operate a sanitary sewer utility. Some neighborhoods have County or North Miami connections; many properties remain on septic. Ask the utility serving your exact address before planning work or troubleshooting a sewer issue.
