Keep the canopy.
Keep the city moving.
Miami Springs’ signature canopy is a public service, too: the City arborist, Public Works, street maintenance and stormwater teams all help care for it. For household waste, the key distinction is simple—City crews handle garbage and trash; Miami-Dade County handles curbside recycling.

The waste route changes at the recycling cart.
Miami Springs’ city sanitation collects household garbage and trash. The County runs the recycling truck and owns the blue cart program. Keeping the two streams separate helps avoid missed carts.
Public Works also handles debris, bulk trash and dead-animal retrieval. Large items may require a special request and could carry an extra fee. Construction debris is not routine pickup.
