Make the city
easier to navigate.

Start with the task: a utility question, a bulky pickup, a permit, or an appointment. Pembroke Pines spreads resident services across City Hall, its Utilities Customer Service office, and the Pines Web Services portals. This guide puts the right counter and next step together.

Utility Customer Service is at a different address from City Hall. Check the location on the card before heading out.

01 / Water & sanitation account

Pay, review or manage a utility bill

The Citizen Self Service portal supports utility account access, payments, monthly bills, consumption review and recurring EFT. One-time online payments carry a listed fee of 2.9% for credit/debit cards or $1.49 for e-check; recurring EFT is offered without those transaction fees. Customer Service: Monday–Thursday, 7 a.m.–5:45 p.m.; closed Friday and legal holidays.

02 / Garbage, recycling & bulky items

Look up the route for your address

Residential green-cart garbage is collected twice weekly; days vary by route. Bulk pickup is twice a month, with separate scheduling required for some oversized loads. The City lists Waste Pro for regular cart service and Eastern Waste for excess bulk; verify the material and appointment rules before setting it out.

03 / Build, renovate or inspect

Use the Development Hub

Pines Web Services is the City’s online doorway. Development Hub connects permit applications, plan review, inspection scheduling, code compliance and Business Tax Receipts. Check permit type, required documents and inspection instructions for the specific job.

04 / Passport services

Plan an in-person appointment

The City offers passport acceptance services through its web-services program. Confirm current appointment availability, application requirements and accepted payment before visiting; passport acceptance is a scheduled service, not a general City Hall walk-in.

05 / Public meetings & records

Follow the Commission’s work

Agendas and minutes let residents see upcoming City Commission and board business and review prior meetings. For public records, use the Clerk’s records process and describe the records you need as specifically as possible.
